The Collapsible Cajon with Traveler Backpack

The Collapsible Cajon is our technical take on the cajon. The result is a percussion instrument that's ideal for both travel and supreme sound. 

Carrying around a big box is difficult, so we built a cajon that's portable, high in quality, and ultra-durable. Mounting and dismounting the cajon is simple and doesn't affect the tonal qualities.

Our cajon also includes a traveler backpack and an extra rear board, making it the perfect cajon for gigs, rehearsals, and recording sessions.

Details

  • Playing around the center creates a deep bass while striking the top gives you a crisp tone that resembles a snare drum.
  • The rear sound port is cut into the back of the body to allow air to escape. This results in heightened tonal qualities and the ability to place a microphone for performances and recordings.
  • The deep and natural teak wood provides the basis for rich sound development. The internal guitar strings provide authentic flamenco tones while the deep resonant chamber offers a loud, tight bass sound.
  • Includes an extra rear board piece + screws
